This past week and a half, my roommate and i have been working on building our Jungle Camp house. We are ready to move in now and are finishing some last minute organizing and cleaning before we move up on Saturday. We will be living in Jungle Camp for four weeks and will not be allowed to leave at anytime during those four weeks apart from two days for a ladies' hike.
Our house has gravity fed water and a hot water tank attached to our stove. We will have light in our house that runs off of a battery that has been charged by solar panels.
Jungle Camp is just supposed to give us a slight taste of what it would be like to live in the bush. We will have to plan our food for one month and live without electricity apart from our battery powered light.
Maybe the hardest part about living in Jungle Camp is going to be the seclusion from the rest of the world and getting along with the few people that we will be in seclusion with. There will not be much privacy in Jungle Camp and I am sure that will be a struggle at times.
I would much appreciate your prayers for this next month of living in the bush. I am really looking forward to this experience, but I am also unsure of how I will respond to living in the bush for a month.
